Tributyrin: Good Gut Bacteria

Research supports tributyrin supplementation improves microbial balance.1 This balance increases nutrient absorption, improves digestion, and reduces symptoms related to IBS or SIBO, including bloating, gas production, abdominal pain. Adequate intake of dietary fiber is supported by studies to reduce risk of heart disease, stroke, obesity and certain cancer.2

Tributyrin is a postbiotic found in butter and other dairy products. It is produced by the good bacteria known as Microbiome. Tributyrin brings 3 butyrate molecules to the digestive gut where they are separated and absorbed into the bloodstream. These molecules are transported throughout the body including the liver, brain, and lungs.

CoreBiome® is included in the Happy Gut capsule formulation, because it is the only tributyrin that has been clinically tested to substantiate bioavailability, reaching both the small and large intestines.3 This is important for delivery of an efficacious supplement. Because of the clinical testing, CoreBiome® is the only tributyrin with regulatory compliance to make marketable claims.4

The need for efficacious supplementation is evident with the dietary gap in US diets. Although fiber is found to have significant health benefits, an estimated 95% of American adults and children do not consume the recommended amounts of fiber.5 As part of Plant Science research and development, our scientists have evaluated building a supplement system that includes the triad of biotics, including: pre, pro, and post biotics. Because of this preliminary research investment, Plant Science is ready to develop custom formulations for your company’s consumers.
